Will my child's paper fit?

A4 goes in untouched: 21 × 29.7 cm, which is what school sugar paper and standard drawing pads are. US letter is 21.6 × 27.9 cm, about 6 mm wider than A4 and 18 mm shorter. It goes in, and with the mat fitted nothing of the drawing is lost, but that extra 6 mm means the sheet sits with a gentle bow unless you trim a quarter inch off one long edge. With the white mat fitted you see about 16.5 × 25 cm of the drawing; take the mat out and you see about 21 × 29.9 cm.

How many drawings really fit inside?

About fifty sheets of ordinary A4 drawing paper. The cavity behind the mount is roughly 15 mm deep, so thin printer paper goes well past fifty and thick card, sugar paper or heavily painted sheets bring it down. It is a storage frame, not a filing cabinet.

Which side does it open on?

The hinge side is fixed and you cannot choose it, so we would rather you knew before you ordered than after. It opens the same way on every colour. One buyer also found the hinge fitting a little imprecise, which is worth knowing at this price.
