Choose your PeekDoodle™ frame: colour and how many
The PeekDoodle™ order form is two decisions: which colour, and how many. This page walks both, says what is in the box, and lists the two things worth knowing before you pay.
Decision one: the colour
Look at the wall the frame is going on, not at the drawing. The drawing changes every week; the wall does not.
Natural wood is a warm oak-grain finish. It is the safe answer and the one most people pick, because it sits happily next to existing furniture and does not compete with a child's crayon colours.
White is for a nursery, a pale or papered wall, or a row of three frames where you want the drawings to read as a set rather than as three separate objects.
Black is the graphic choice. A black border makes the colours inside look stronger, and it is the one to pick if the frame is going into a hallway or a home office rather than a child's room.
All three are the same frame, the same size and the same price. The colour is the moulding only; the mat inside is white in every version.
Decision two: how many
One frame is $39. Two are $58.50, because the second is half price. Three are $78, because the third is free. Shipping is free on every order. The discount applies in the cart on its own; there is no code to enter, and you can mix the colours however you like.
Two is the common order, for one of two reasons. Two children means two stacks, and one frame holds one stack. Or the second frame goes to grandparents, who are the people most likely to ask where you got it.
Three tends to be a hallway row: three frames in the same colour, hung in a line, one per child or one per year.

How the size works
The frame is about 34 × 25 cm on the outside. With the mat fitted, the visible window is about 16.5 × 25 cm; take the mat out and you see about 21 × 29.9 cm. A4 paper is 21 × 29.7 cm and US letter is 21.6 × 27.9 cm, and both sit inside without trimming. The cavity behind the mat is roughly 15 mm deep, which is where about a hundred ordinary A4 sheets live, held flat by two elastic bands on metal plates.
Two things to know before you pay
You cannot choose which side the hinge opens from. It is not an option on the order form and it is not a mistake when it arrives; the hinge side is fixed. Most people stop noticing within a week.
It is a storage frame, not a museum mount. The hinge is a working hinge and up close it looks like one. If what you want is a sealed conservation-grade frame for one permanent picture, this is not that, and we would rather say so here than in an email afterwards.
Shipping, duties and the guarantee
We dispatch within 2 to 5 business days, extending to 12 business days at busy times, and we email you if it does. Transit is 9 to 13 business days after dispatch, and tracking can take up to 5 business days to start updating. Import duties and taxes, where a country charges them, are the customer's responsibility and are not included at checkout.
